April 29 Team Meeting

Wednesday’s meeting had a bit of a scattered energy, but the team still managed to knock out some meaningful work across a few different fronts.

Moves down

We spent time evaluating the current state of the steering system, going through it methodically to identify what’s working and what needs attention before we head to Texas. There’s room for improvement and we’ve got a clearer picture now of what to prioritize.

On the car itself, we got the rear brake rotor installed — a solid step forward on the braking system as we work toward a complete, competition-ready setup.

We also shifted gears to logistics. The team put together a sponsor outreach list targeting potential partners who could help cover the cost of a vehicle to tow the trailer to Texas, and drafted emails to kick off those conversations. Getting the car to the race is just as important as building it, and it was good to see the students thinking about the full picture.

A big shoutout to Pier 76, who came through with reduced-price pizza to support the team. That kind of community backing means a lot and keeps the crew fueled up for long build sessions.
